What is your character's backstory? This answer requires great detail. Please take your time with this answer. Short/low-effort answers will not be accepted. Dominic was born in the rural parts of Grand Haven, at a Lakeland hospital that was out there. At first he lived with his mother. Life was good for Dom back then, he had no trauma, no mental illnesses, he was just a happy kid. It wasn't until he was six years old when all of that would change. Dominic had just turned six a week before when he would see his mother for the last time, and watch her drive off into nothingness. At first, everything was just fine at his father and stepmother's house, he actually felt he could trust them, oh how wrong that poor kid was. It wasn't until two weeks would have passed that he would get a reality check, and for the first time, see the dark side of reality. His step mother would kick him awake every morning and tell him to do impossible tasks, and if he couldn't accomplish them, he would get beaten by his father, his step mother laughing as it happened. That happened routinely, day after day. It wasn't for another three years that he would be put into the foster care system for the first time.
Foster care lasted for one year, then he went back to live with his father and stepmother. He thought that they would finally treat him right, oh how wrong he was. Instead of treating him right, they just got smarter on where to hit him. They started starving him, hurting him in places that others wouldn't see. not only would they
physically abuse Dominic, they would also mentally and emotionally abuse him too. They injured him a couple of times. The first major injury was when his aunt hit him in the eye with a willow stick, making his eye bleed. The second was when his step mother was beating him with a belt, she let go of the metal buckle and it hit him in the bottom of the lip, splitting it clean in half. The third major injury almost killed him, his father used a broom like a baseball bat, and as hard as he possibly could, hit Dominic in the head with it, sending the broom head all the way across the room, almost breaking the TV with it. Dominic almost passed out due to blunt force trauma that day.
It was sometime in July when Dominic got called into his step mother and biological fathers room, something he would regret listening to. His step mother was cleaning out their closet and she found Aaron's Beretta M9, When Dominic got into the room, she pulled it out to, "show" him. She pointed it directly at his forehead and thought about pulling the trigger. As he stood there in fear, she pulled the barrel away from his head, not doing it because her kids were there. She put the gun away and told Dom to get out of her face, he quickly ran out and went to his room. Later to get beaten by his biological father. It was not until he was twelve that he finally decided to run away. The reason he ran is because he tried to make his father realize that he was under his step mother's spell. It started with his step mother making a sandwich, waving it in front of Dominic’s face, and then feeding it to the dogs. His father asked if he had anything to eat, and Dom stepped up and said no, his father did not believe him. And that day he just ran, not looking back. Since it was night time, he hid in a thorny bush, away from his parents, who did come looking for him. He fell asleep next to a set of active train tracks that night. The next morning, he woke up and started walking, just walking. And since there were corn fields, he picked some corn and ate it. It was not until about noon that he was found by an Amtrak worker. The Amtrak worker gave him proper food and water and let Dominic sit in his truck to rest as he called the police. When the police got there, they called an EMS and they checked Dominic out. After the checkup they went to a gas station, the officer bought Dom a bag of chips and they picked up a social worker, and went back to the house. The officer asked if Dom wanted to go with her, he immediately said no and stayed in the cruiser. His father acted like he cared, but Dom knew he did not. Not too long after, the officer took Dominic and the social worker to the nearest hospital. Dominic was severely malnourished, weighing only 97.5 pounds. After about an hour at the hospital, he would be transferred to St. Joseph Lakeland hospital, where he would spend four days. After those four days he would be stuck in the foster care system again.
Fast forward about 20 years, Dominic has done his time in the Army as a Special Forces medic (18D) and has now moved to the city to start a life here. He wants to be away from his past and live as if it is a new life, one that is full of happiness in doing the things he loves to do. And maybe even love the people he wants to love.
Describe what your character's short and long-term goals would be in the city and how they would achieve them: Short Term Goals: Fly in and get established. Don't worry about grinding this and grinding that but focus on the people I am meeting and making connections/friends that will enhance my story. Find out about people's background, who their character is and where they come from and what they have planned.
Long Term Goals: Take a position with PD and become High Command or be a part of the DOJ system and even become a major political figure for the city and help the people and enhance their experiences and stories.
In your opinion, how can your roleplay benefit the server? Coming from a major background in political/LEO RP I think that I offer a new set of eyes. Over my years and years of roleplaying and seeing all sorts of cities and being a part of all sorts of groups, I think it has really helped me develop into the character Dominic is and also enhanced my mind when it comes to roleplay itself, it's not just a "video game" to me, I truly have a love and enjoyment for meeting people and helping in any way that I can. And with being a part of other cities over the years, I bring new ideas that I can implement into this city to help it grow/encourage good strong roleplay.

Please provide an example of Meta Gaming in your own words Meta-Gaming is using taking outside knowledge that your IC (In City) character(s) would never know and using it to excel/help your progression in city.
A few examples are as follows:
1.) Calling your buddy on discord that's across the city and not on radio to tell him you are being robbed/taken hostage so he can come help you
2.) Watching YouTube, Twitch, TikTok or other streaming services to see people IC and use their location, or information they gather/stream to your advantage.
Please provide an example of Power Gaming in your own words Power-Gaming is the use of in-game, out of game or any RP concepts to benefit said persons own character or story. This gives them an unfair and unrealistic advantage over other players. This is a "Playing to Win" mentality which takes the adventure and creativity from Roleplay. A person's adventure, interactions and story should always be more important than just "playing the game."
A few examples are as follows:
1.) Forcing Roleplay: Never force an action or state on another player without giving them an opportunity to react, or a choice in the situation.
2.) Game Mechanics: Never exploit game mechanics, that are unrealistic, to gain an unfair advantage.
3.) Unrealistic Characters: Never create unrealistic characters in order to gain an advantage in roleplay.
Scenario 1: You’re walking back to your car after a shift doing pizza deliveries. You've finally made a big chunk of money and can afford that car you've been saving for. "Holy shit man, please don't shoot please I am begging you. Look man, I'll give you whatever you want man, I just got this job, and I have some tip money in my wallet, it's all your man. *Gets on the ground, hands behind head and shaking* I'm just a local delivery man please, I don't have much but everything is yours. Please I am begging you, don't shoot man, please don't shoot. I have a family that I'm trying to make ends meet for. What do you want me to do man, anything!!"
*Scared, shaking and fearing for my life*
Scenario 2: Lavender is your favorite color. You’re wearing your favorite lavender socks with shorts, and you've stumbled into the wrong side of town. Next thing you know, 5/6 people are surrounding you, all wearing purple, telling you to take your socks off as it’s their color. What does your character do? "Ah what, woah guys, relax relax I'm sorry. I didn't mean to disrespect anyone or you guys. I promise, I'm not meaning to overstep by any means, it's just my favorite color and I just really loved the way they matched my shirt nicely. I promise guys, I wouldn't do anything to step out of line. I will take them off! Is that what you guys want? No problem at all" *takes socks off and hands them to them* "truly man, guys I'm sorry- it was just a big misunderstanding. I don't want any trouble, I'll get out of here and it won't happen again."
*Outnumbered and scared. Work to de-escalate and make things right*
